Graver

Relief

Raise a greyscale image into something a router can carve.

Drop a depth map and the bench maps its grey to millimetres, meshes it, and shows you the faces your cutter cannot reach — all of it in this browser. Nothing here needs an account.

or drop one anywhere on this page

The sample

A greyscale depth map: a domed medallion with six petals and a rim

A depth map drawn as one: brightness is height, with no lighting in it to fake it.

Load it and the bench samples that grey onto a grid, bends it through a tone curve you drag, and meshes the result at a plate size in millimetres. Heightmap view draws the field at the resolution it is sampled at; the overhang check lights every face steeper than the cutter you name. The STL is written from the same buffers the viewport draws.

No relief made here has been cut yet, so the bench shows you the model and the numbers and claims nothing about the finished carve.
